1. Booking and Payment

Provisional bookings for a workshop place should be made by contacting us at workshops@ohgollygosh.co.uk - we will send you an email confirming the provisional booking and a separate payment link from sales@writtenstore.com in order to make the payment. If you do not wish to pay online, you can visit Written Gallery & Store on a Saturday to make the payment in person, or send a cheque in the post payable to Written Gallery & Store to 2 Scarcroft Lane, York, YO23 1AD.

Bookings are provisional only until the workshop fee is paid in full (and payment is cleared if made by cheque). We reserve the right to offer the place to another customer if the payment has not been made within a week of the payment request being sent.

Once the fee is paid we send a confirmation that your place is confirmed.

2. Refunds

If you wish to cancel your place on a workshop, we can accept requests for a refund up to four weeks before the date of the workshop. Cancelations after this time will not be eligible for a refund, but your booking could be transferred to another participant if you can find a suitable replacement.

3. Cancelation or Postponement of the Workshop

In the very unlikely event that the workshop needs to be cancelled due to circumstances outside of our control, an alternative date for the workshop will be arranged and you will be offered the choice between attending the new date or receiving a full refund.

4. Liability

In respect of cancellations and postponement of workshops, our liability is limited to the fee paid for attending the workshop and does not extend to any additional costs you may have incurred in arranging to attend the workshop.

5. Insurance

Elaine carries Public Liability Insurance for her work as an artist. Details can be provided on request.

6. Filming and Photography

Elaine may request your permission to take images of your work in particular for record and publicity purposes, which it is your right to refuse if you would rather she didn't.

You may also take films and / or photographs of the proceedings generally and can share them on social media if you like.

However it is not permitted to take detailed photographs of any of Elaine's artwork that may be on show during the workshop without her express written consent.

7. Data Protection

In submitting your details to enquire about or sign up for a workshop, you are deemed to have given us consent to correspond with you on that subject. We will add your email address to a mailing list to receive information from Elaine on future events. If you do not wish to be on that list, please let us know and your details will be removed.

We will not share or use your details for any other purpose.
